Memorial Day Weekend

I had a lovely mini-vacay in New Orleans, Destin and Panama City over the weekend. New Orleans is such a vibrant city saturated in culture. Whenever I am there, I feel like I'm walking the streets of Europe again, but even then its still different. Its just such a unique city. We also met up with some family in Florida, which was really nice and laid-back. So ready for the rest of summer!

5/21 - 5/24

I have had a rather uneventful past few days, but they have been wonderful at the same time. On Tuesday, I went to the zoo, and all of a sudden it started storming, which was just lovely. So, Morgan Pace and I decided it would be a great idea to run from one shelter to another shelter in the middle of the storm andddddddd I fell on my face. It probably didn't help that I was wearing my sister's size 6 sandals - I wear size 8. Ended up with a nice-sized gash on my right knee and a scrape on my right elbow. Klutziness for the win!Although it went against all of my expectations, it was such a memorable day with great people. Oh, and I also met Morgan's puppy Niya, and she is huge and adorable! So cute!!

Today (techincally yesterday), I started playing with art again. My return to the creative world has been long overdue, as the school year was pretty black and white, being packed with technicalities and what not. Now I have more free time than I know what to do with, so my first goal is to improve my drawing skills. I really want to move away from my usual doodles and copying and create things that I would actually call works of art. Here are a few pics of what I was working on today. I like the first one so far, but the second is a little too character-y I think. I've got a long way to go.

I got a manicure and pedicure yesterday, which, if you know me, you know that NEVER happens. For one, its just too girly. Two, I think my nails look weird painted. And three, it's just plain pointless because I mess them up the next day.

3 in 1

Owing to the fact that I have been crazy busy packing and what not for the past week, I believe a comprehensive post detailing all that has transpired is in order. We'll just go in order.

Número 1: Karmaloop

So, on Tuesday I modeled at Karmaloop for the first time, which is another place I have been wanting to work at. I went in for a casting near the end of April, but my schedule was too busy to do anything until now, which is rather unfortunate because now I am home and can't work there again until I go back.

Número 2: Flock Boston

I can't even explain just how much I love everything about Flock. Everyone is so freaking awesome, I love it! This was my last shoot for them for a while :( but hopefully when I head back in the fall I can do more!

Número 3: Jeff Roberts test shoot

I have gotten a couple of images back from my test shoot with Jeff, and I love them! They are definitely unlike anything I currently have in my port, so hopefully Annette will be able to use them.
