Busy Bee

After a hectic few days of changing classes and trying to figure out what I want to concentrate in, I have only an even busier weekend to look forward to. Tomorrow, I have a fitting for the Daniela Corte Show for 9/27; Friday I will be shooting at Karmaloop, followed by a fitting for the Bridal Show this Sunday; Saturday is a double shooting day: a morning shoot for a friend, and an afternoon shoot with Ryan Waite; and finally, Sunday, the Bridal Show. On top of all of that, I have to catch up on work for MCB80, and my newly added SLS20 class, and try to get ahead so that I have more free time in general. On a more positive note, my hotel and flight are officially booked for Texas, which I could not be more excited and happy about! I definitely need a miniature vacation. Also, Sam, by chance, found me on T.J.Maxx's newly launched site. If she hadn't found it, I probably would have completely forgotten about it, but here are a few of the looks that have been posted thus far (they are only half-face shots , if you remember from my earlier post).

Flock Boston - Fall 2013

I am so happy I was finally reunited with Flock Boston yesterday! They have a ton of cute new fall clothes in. I already fell in love with and purchased one of the dresses from the shoot!

T.J.Maxx

3 day recap:

For the past 3 days, I have been shooting e-commerce with T.J.Maxx at their Memphis studio for the launch of their new site! I have been waking up between 11 and 1 pm almost all summer, so the 8:30 a.m. call time was a wee harsh on my sleeping habits. The shoot ran about 9 hours each day, and they were very simple shots: 3 front, 3 back (some just front) of 200+ clothing items per day. Despite the simplicity, however, my feet and body cried at the end of each day, so I'm glad I can relax now. For their site, the shots will be cut off around my nose/mouth area I believe, so they aren't images I can use for my portfolio; however, a $700/day rate for "unrecognizable" e-commerce makes up for that completely. I'd say $2100 for 3 days of work isn't too shabby. The staff, stylist and photographers were great, and they want to re-hire me over winter break!
